This tea was originally rolled into pellets (resembling gunpowder) to help keep it fresh for as long as possible on the long journey across the oceans. Using the youngest, most tender green tea leaves, the Pinhead Gunpowder is a smaller rolled tea than our Gunpowder Imperial. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen brewed, the small, tightly balled, silvery-green leaves open into large olive green leaves.
